Let’s Play!
The Whitefish Community School features a wonderful, expansive outdoor campus that is enjoyed in every season of the year. To ensure safe, age-appropriate play, we now feature two fully fenced, separate outdoor play spaces tailored to each program.
Our Caterpillar playground is specifically designed for our toddlers, offering gentle swings, a toddler-safe slide, a sandbox, and a fun plastic racetrack with ride-on toys.
Our Butterfly playground is geared toward active preschoolers, featuring larger swings, slides, climbing structures, a sandbox, a cozy playhouse, and a toy kitchen for imaginative dramatic play.
Beyond our fenced playgrounds, our beautiful campus provides two wonderful hills that we use for special outdoor activities, like rolling in the grass in the summer and sledding in the snow in the winter.
Planting vegetables in our garden beds is always a favorite activity, giving the children a chance to dig in the dirt, watch things grow, and harvest delicious veggies to enjoy at lunchtime. Our huge weeping willow provides cool shade in the summer, while our apple tree provides crunchy snacks in the fall. At WFCS, we believe fresh air and exercise are essential to growing healthy bodies and happy hearts, so we make sure to explore our wonderful outdoor spaces every single day.
